ReasilyThe goal of this book is inclusivity and aims to make accessible the 12x12 to all genders, sexual orientations, and spiritual beliefs. AA is for every and all Alcoholics and we need to show Love and Acceptance to every member of our Fellowship.
With this in mind, here are some of the common replacements that are used in this text:

| ● Man, mankind with humans, humankind |
| ● Brother with fellow, brotherhood with fellowship |
| ● God with Higher Power, He/Him with They/Them, Themselves (HP Only) |
| ● Himself/Herself with Themself |
| ● He/Him with they/them when someone is anonymous |
| ● Clergyman with spiritual leader |
| ● Clergymen with spiritual leaders |
| ● Churchmen with spiritual leaders |
For the most part, I have left the remaining text alone, except where it needed to be changed to be grammatically correct or phrases that were made to be more inclusive or gender neutral. Pronouns for people who are not anonymous have been left the same, as those are their pronouns. Anyone that is anonymous, their pronouns have been changed to they/them.
